“Encrusted Buoys", 2025, Stoneware, Natural Organisms, Rope, Underglaze, Dock Cleats, 15’x7’x1’ (Installation)

This installation is a collaboration with nature that features a series of ceramic vessels inspired by nautical buoys. Each piece features a unique shape, pattern, and identification code, inspired by real lobster and crab trap buoys. These were submerged in the ocean for several months and are encrusted in real barnacles, mimicking the interaction between manmade objects and nature.
